Height. Both are 60 mm across with an 18 mm bore, but KH25503 is 150 mm tall while KH25501 is 101 mm. They are not interchangeable: the short element will not seal against the cap in a housing that takes the 150 mm one.
Steering. The element is specified for the power steering reservoir on trucks with ZF steering gear. Working hydraulic circuits use the wider P-series elements instead.
No. Only the element is supplied. Check the cap gasket and the base seal; a hardened cap gasket will let air into the reservoir and the steering will feel heavy at low engine speed.
