Overview
This policy explains how FJFilter handles order scheduling, shipping, packaging, documentation, receipt checks and returns for export orders of fuel, oil, air, marine and water filters. It applies to inquiries and orders placed through fjfilter.com. The trade terms and delivery details stated on your order confirmation or proforma invoice take precedence over this general policy.
Order Processing and Lead Time
Lead time runs from the date your deposit or L/C is received. The figures below are indicative ranges, not fixed promises: the confirmed lead time is the one stated on your order confirmation or proforma invoice, because the actual order quantity and the agreed shipping method both move the schedule.
- Stock and short-run orders: 8–50 days
- Bulk orders: 35–60 days, depending on the actual order quantity and the agreed shipping method
- Custom parts: 45 days or more, including sampling. The schedule follows your specific customisation requirements and is quoted together with the price; as custom work differs from product to product, it is confirmed case by case in the quotation.
Minimum order quantity varies by product: 5–100 units for standard parts (see the individual product page) and usually 50 units or more for custom parts, evaluated by process. Tier pricing decreases as volume increases. State your deadline in the inquiry — sales confirm production capacity before the order is accepted.
Shipping Terms
Quotations are issued on FOB Ningbo / Shanghai, CIF or DDP terms, and the Incoterm named on the quotation determines who pays freight, insurance and import charges:
- FOB Ningbo / Shanghai — we deliver the goods on board at the named Chinese port. Ocean freight, insurance, destination charges and import duty are borne by the buyer.
- CIF — we arrange and pay ocean freight and insurance to the named destination port. Import duty, customs clearance and inland delivery at destination are borne by the buyer.
- DDP — we deliver to the named destination address, with import duty and clearance included.
Stock held in our EU and North America warehouses can ship from those locations. Confirm availability with sales before ordering.
Freight Charges
Where a shipment involves customs clearance and declaration, freight is charged at actual cost. Ocean freight in particular moves with the shipping line and with peak and off-peak seasons, so the amount billed is settled against the freight forwarder's invoice rather than a figure fixed at the time of quotation. Any freight estimate given in a quotation is an indication only.
Shipping Methods and Transit Time
Orders ship by sea, air or express courier, chosen according to volume, destination and your deadline:
- Sea freight — standard for bulk and container orders; transit time follows the destination port and the sailing schedule booked.
- Air freight — for urgent orders where the volume justifies the cost.
- Express courier — for samples and small parcels, delivered door to door.
For small consignments you may specify the shipping method — sea, air or express. We do not accept a nominated carrier or freight forwarder, except in special cases agreed with us in advance.
Transit time is additional to the production lead time above. The confirmed schedule is quoted with the shipping cost before dispatch.
Packaging
Goods are packed in export cartons. Palletising, crating and container loading are arranged to suit the shipping method and destination. Tell us your handling, pallet or marking requirements in the inquiry and they are confirmed on the order.
Export Documentation
Each shipment is accompanied by a commercial invoice and packing list; the bill of lading or air waybill is issued according to the shipping method. If you need a certificate of origin or other specific documents, state this in the inquiry so it can be priced into the quotation.
Payment Terms
- T/T — 30% deposit with the order, 70% before shipment
- L/C at sight
- Trade Assurance
Payment terms are restated on the proforma invoice.
Quantity Check on Receipt
Count the goods against the packing list as soon as the shipment arrives, and inspect the cartons for visible damage before signing for them. If the quantity is short or an item was shipped in error, contact us at once — no later than 7 working days after receipt — quoting the packing list number and, where relevant, photographs of the cartons as received. Reporting it inside this window lets us raise the case with the carrier while the shipment is still traceable; shortages or mis-shipments reported later cannot be verified against the carrier's record.
Returns
Confirmed quality problems and shipping errors may be returned or replaced; goods ordered in the wrong specification are handled case by case.
How to Confirm an Order
Add the items you need to the inquiry list and submit your contact details. Sales reply within 24 hours and issue a formal quotation — tier pricing plus a proforma invoice — within 72 hours. For questions about an existing shipment, quote your proforma invoice number.
