❓ FAQ
One TP1015 fuel filter cartridge, one 134001 billet aluminium housing cap with a stainless steel drain plug, and two Viton O-rings. Unlike the cap sold on its own, this kit includes the seals, so nothing has to be reused from the old cap.
The GM 6.6L Duramax V8 L5P 2017-2024 in the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD / 3500HD. The 134001 cap in the kit also serves the 2014-2015 Cruze 2.0L and 2017-2019 Cruze 1.6L housings. It does not fit the 2011-2016 LML housing, which uses the FD-4615 style element and a different cap.
Every 15,000 to 22,500 miles (24,000 to 36,000 km), or once a year, whichever comes first. On trucks that see a lot of short runs or dirty fuel, drain the water trap at every oil change and change the element earlier.
Yes. The element is sold as FJ-TP1015 and the cap as FJ-CAP07-SI. The single cap is supplied without an O-ring; this kit includes two, which is the practical reason to buy them together if the old ring is due.
Fit the new O-ring before the cap goes on, lubricate it with clean diesel, and tighten to the factory torque rather than leaning on it. Check that the old ring is not left in the housing groove, which is the usual cause of a leak after a cap change. Every batch is checked for thread fit and sealing-face flatness, and the kit carries a 90-day warranty against manufacturing defects.

Description
Product Overview
This kit combines the TP1015 fuel filter cartridge with the 134001 billet aluminium housing cap for the 2017-2024 GM 6.6L Duramax L5P, as fitted to the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD / 3500HD. Both parts are supplied together because they are serviced together: the element sits inside the housing that the cap closes, so replacing one usually means opening the other.
The element filters to 5 micron absolute and removes 98% of free water before it reaches the CP4 high-pressure pump. The cap is machined from 6061-T6 billet rather than moulded in plastic, and carries a stainless steel drain plug. Two Viton O-rings are included in this kit, which is the point where it differs from buying the cap on its own: the seal is supplied, so nothing has to be reused from the old cap.
