❓ FAQ

Just the seals. The kit carries the two U-cups and four O-rings inside the primer, plus the bleeder screw, so the housing and the fuel lines stay where they are.

The 2001 to 2013 GM Duramax 6.6L filter head, which covers Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Hummer, Saturn and Pontiac models that use the same hand primer.

Six seals: two nitrile plunger U-cups and four Viton O-rings, plus one aluminium bleeder screw.

Yes, soak them in clean diesel first. A dry nitrile cup can roll or tear as the plunger goes back in, and a rolled cup leaks air exactly like a worn one.

Yes, it goes in place of the factory plastic bleeder screw on the same filter head. The screw measures 9.7 mm (0.38 in) across as published.

Description

Product Overview

SL6AD4-SI is the seal rebuild kit for the primer on the 2001-2013 GM Duramax 6.6L fuel filter head, supplied with an aluminium bleeder screw. The pack holds two nitrile plunger U-cups and four Viton O-rings, which are the seals the primer actually uses, so a leaking primer is fixed by replacing nine small parts instead of the whole housing. The bleeder screw is machined from 6061-T6 billet and silver anodised, replacing the plastic screw whose threads strip.

Key Features

Nine parts, one box — the aluminium bleeder screw plus two U-cups and four O-rings, which is every seal inside the primer.
Seals only, housing stays — the primer body, the filter head and the fuel lines are not disturbed, so the job is a rebuild rather than a replacement.
Nitrile U-cups — the plunger seals are nitrile, chosen for diesel rather than for general purpose oil, so they do not swell in fuel.
Viton O-rings — the four static seals take the temperature swing on top of the engine without hardening.
Aluminium bleeder screw — 6061-T6 billet, silver anodised, with a hex and a thread that survive repeated bleeding.

Cross Reference

Primer it rebuilds — the hand primer on the 2001-2013 GM Duramax 6.6L fuel filter head
Bleeder screw it replaces — the plastic air bleeder screw on the same filter head
OEM number — no OEM part number is published for this kit; the seals are matched by position inside the primer, not by a factory number
