S3213 Fuel Water Separator, Replaceable Element, 3/8" NPT, 10 Micron

Marine FiltersCE / ISO 9001

Upgraded S3213 marine fuel water separator: a powder-coated aluminum alloy housing that stays on the engine, plus a replaceable 10-micron cartridge, so a service means one new element instead of a whole filter. The kit ships with three cartridges in total (one installed, two spare), 3/8" barb and 1/4" NPT fittings and PTFE tape. Ports are 3/8" NPT, matching sealed S3213 heads from Mercury, Yamaha and Sierra with no adapter. Cross-references Mercury 35-60494-1, Sierra 18-7932-1 and S3213 / S3214 / B32013.

❓ FAQ

A standard S3213 is a sealed one-piece filter replaced as a whole at every service. The upgraded version keeps a powder-coated aluminum housing on the engine and replaces only the internal 10-micron cartridge. Filtration rating and 3/8" NPT port size are the same.

Every 50-100 engine hours or once a season, whichever comes first, and at least annually. Change it earlier if the clear bowl shows heavy sediment or if fuel flow drops.

Yes, provided the head uses 3/8" NPT inlet and outlet ports. Thread and mounting pattern match the sealed S3213 and S3214 heads. The kit adds 3/8" barb and 1/4" NPT fittings if your fuel line is smaller than the port thread.

The aluminum alloy body is powder coated for corrosion and seawater resistance and is rinsed with fresh water during normal washdown. Inspect the bowl and O-ring at each cartridge change.

Three 10-micron cartridges ship with the unit: one pre-installed, two spare. The housing is designed for S3213 elements; those with the same body dimensions and O-ring profile will seat.

MOQ varies by product: 5–100 units for standard parts (see product page). Tier pricing decreases with volume. Custom parts usually ≥ 50 units, evaluated by process.

Description

Product Overview

The upgraded S3213 is a marine fuel water separator built around a reusable housing rather than a disposable canister. The powder-coated aluminum alloy body carries a clear nylon drain bowl and 3/8" NPT inlet and outlet, so it lands on an existing S3213 or S3214 filter head without adapters or replumbing. At service you unscrew the collar and drop in a new 10-micron cartridge; the housing, bowl and fittings stay put. For an outboard running 50-100 hours a season, that turns every filter change into a cartridge change.

Key Features

  • Replaceable 10-micron cartridge: Unscrew the collar, lift out the spent element and seat a new cartridge; the housing stays on the engine.
  • Powder-coated aluminum alloy housing: Lighter than a steel canister, with a powder coating that resists saltwater corrosion and keeps the body in service for years.
  • Clear nylon drain bowl: Shows water and sediment without disassembly; open the drain to purge collected water before it reaches the injectors.
  • 3/8" NPT ports, four ways to connect: The housing takes 3/8" NPT lines directly; the kit also brings 3/8" barb and 1/4" NPT fittings for smaller fuel lines.
  • Three cartridges in the box: One element is pre-installed and two spares ship with it, covering two full service cycles out of the box.
  • Reusable body, consumable element: Only the filter media is consumed at each service, so the housing and bowl are paid for once.
