S3213 Fuel Water Separator, Replaceable Element & Clear Bowl, 3/8" NPT
S3213 marine fuel water separator supplied as a replaceable 10-micron element, a clear plastic collection bowl and its bowl gasket. The bowl shows water and sediment without disassembly and drains through the bottom valve; the 11/16-16 UNS mounting thread spins onto an existing S3213 or S3214 head, and 3/8" NPT ports carry the fuel lines. Mounting head not included.

❓ FAQ
A sealed S3213 is a one-piece filter replaced as a whole. This version is a replaceable-element type: the clear bowl and the head stay on the engine and only the 10-micron element is renewed. Filtration rating and 3/8" NPT port size are the same.
No. The kit is the filter element, the clear collection bowl and the bowl gasket. It threads onto the S3213 or S3214 head already fitted to your engine; a head and bracket are ordered separately if you are building a new installation.
Every 100 engine hours or once a season, whichever comes first, and at least annually. Change earlier if the bowl shows heavy sediment, if the engine stumbles at wide-open throttle, or if a water-in-fuel alarm triggers.
It fits engines using the standard S3213 / S3214 spin-on head with 3/8" NPT ports, which covers most Mercury, Mariner, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda and Tohatsu four-stroke outboards. Check the head thread and bowl type on your engine before ordering.
Yes. The bowl has a drain valve at the bottom; open it to purge bulk water and close it again. Draining removes free water but does not restore an element that has already been saturated, so replace the element if water reached the media.

Description
Product Overview
The S3213 replaceable-element separator is a service kit rather than a complete assembly: it delivers a 10-micron element, a clear collection bowl and a bowl gasket that seat onto the S3213 filter head already fitted to the engine. Because the element separates from the bowl and head, each service interval consumes one cartridge and a bowl rinse instead of a complete filter. The mounting thread is 11/16-16 UNS and the bowl carries a bottom drain valve, so collected water can be purged between element changes. Outboards and sterndrives that use the standard S3213 / S3214 head pattern are the direct application.
Key Features
- Replaceable 10-micron element: The element lifts out of the bowl and head, so only the filter media is renewed at each service.
- Clear plastic collection bowl: Water and sediment are visible from outside without opening the fuel system or reaching for tools.
- Bottom drain valve: Purges bulk water collected in the bowl before it reaches the element, without removing the bowl from the head.
- 11/16-16 UNS mounting thread: The spin-on thread matches the standard S3213 / S3214 head, so the unit threads straight on with no adapter. Ports for the fuel lines are 3/8" NPT.
- Service kit, not a full assembly: Ships as element, bowl and bowl gasket, so the mounting head and bracket already on the engine stay in place.
- Polymer body with anti-corrosion treatment: The collar and bowl are built for salt spray, humid engine bays and ethanol-blended fuel.
